Walls are one part of the room.
A new wall colour can change how the existing ceiling, baseboards and doors look beside it. Walk through the space and decide which surfaces belong in your painting request. Good Painting’s focus is residential interior painting; call or text to discuss the specific surfaces in your home.
Give each surface its own line.
| Surface | Details to include |
|---|---|
| Walls | Room names, current colours, visible marks and any walls to exclude. |
| Ceilings | Height, texture, ceiling details and any areas that need assessment. |
| Doors | Number of doors, one or both sides, frames and existing finish. |
| Trim | Baseboards, casings, crown moulding and whether they are painted or stained. |
| Closets | Walls, ceilings, shelves or doors, with each part identified. |
Keep the finishes you love.
If you want stained wood, stone or cabinetry left untouched, say so and include photos. A wall-painting request should not leave anyone guessing about adjacent finishes. Built-ins and specialty surfaces need their own discussion rather than being assumed to be ordinary trim.
Tell us about hard-to-reach areas.
A stairwell ceiling or tall entry wall is a different access situation from a bedroom. Wide photos should show the floor, stairs and ceiling together where possible. Include fixtures and large pieces of furniture that could affect access.

Does trim painting include cabinet refinishing?
Our interior repainting service covers walls, ceilings, doors and painted trim. Cabinet refinishing is a separate service.
Can a wall-only repaint keep the existing trim?
You can request walls only. Identify the ceilings, trim and other finishes you want excluded so the scope is clear.
